Everyone has a “first time” story – your fist convention, the first time you heard that unmistakable steel drum, the first concert where you found yourself singing along to every word of a song you swore you’d never heard before, the first time you realized you weren’t the only one who felt this way about a guy in a Hawaiian shirt with a guitar.
Maybe you can still name the exact year of convention, exact show, the seat, the friend who dragged you there. Maybe you’ve lost count of how many concerts you’ve been to (and that’s a badge of honor in itself). Maybe you have a story about the night you met a fellow Parrot Head and instantly knew you’d found your people. Or maybe, just maybe, you have a story about the time you actually met Jimmy.
